"Art is my passion. I paint because it is whimsical, playful and an eclectic way to view life. My objective is to use visual memories and feelings to create a two dimensional expression of a three dimensional experience. I always try to paint with the innocence and clarity that children understand and to capture the joy and happiness of childhood. I want my art to be a true reflection of my being.
Initially, watercolor was my passion. I loved the spontaneity and freshness associated with the medium. Last year I changed to acrylics, and this body of works is an example of my new direction in abstract expressionism. My journey and struggle has been influenced by Marianne Mitchell and Kassem Amoudi as well as the works of Richard Diebenkorn, Nicholas de Stael, Hans Hofmann, Gustavo Ramos Rivera and Helen Frankenthaler. This journey and struggle is without end and ever changing. I am delighted and honored to share this with you, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have."
