MONTHLY MEETING (Free & Open to the Public)
Michael Reimer will demonstrate and discuss Gyotaku, the art of Japanese fish printing, where prints are lifted off an actual fish using relief printing ink and rice paper. Originally, Gyotaku was used by Japanese anglers as documentation of the size and species of fish they caught. It later evolved into an art form. Being a fisherman, Michael approaches his work from an angler's point of view, attempting to have his fish appear as they would in nature. Visit his website at www.michaelreimer.com.
