Professional quality level work is the expectation for this gallery. As the artwork will be displayed publically in a medical facility it should reflect suitable subject matter that is pleasant and uplifting to offer healing and joy to patients and visitors. Appropriate subject matter would include landscapes, seascapes, nature and still life, and we have been asked to refrain from displaying portraits (humans and pets) and very abstract images. The jurors reserve the right to eliminate any artwork for unsuitable subject matter, quality, craftsmanship and overall professionalism. All work must be matted and/or framed, except for wrapped canvases, which must be painted on the outside edges. The work must be 2 dimensional with a properly installed wire for hanging.
